Cleaning the carpet outlet in your home is one of the simplest and cheapest ways to keep your carpet from smelling like the cleaners in the house.
If you’re looking for a more complex task, you can also install a redi-carpeting system in your house.
But if you don’t want to mess with that extra expense, here’s how to install the system on your carpet outlet and clean it up.
First, you’ll need to determine which type of carpet outlet you need.
You’ll need one with a large, flat-top outlet, like this one pictured above, or one with two or three sides that are separated by a door or window.
If your outlet is a door outlet, you may want to use a sliding door.
If your outlet has a sliding wall, use a metal door with a built-in screen or door latch.
If the outlet has an opening in the wall, install a door-to-wall switch.
If you don and want to install a screen, you could do it yourself by removing the plastic panel that’s covering the outlet, turning it inside out and then installing the screen.
If that’s not possible, check with your carpet contractor for the best installation solution.
If all else fails, you might want to look at the cost of replacing the outlet.
For example, if the outlet is on the inside of your home, you’re more likely to have to pay the difference between the price of the replacement and the cost you’d have to shell out to fix it.
If it’s on the outside, you dont have to worry about it.
Thats the case with the wall outlet pictured above.
If a wall outlet is the right size, you should be able to get a replacement for around $1,200.
For a side wall outlet, thats $750, or $400 less than the installation cost of a red-capping system.

Once you have the information, you will need to purchase the replacement.
For some outlets, it will take up to four weeks to be replaced, while others may take less than a week.
If this is the case, make sure you have time to buy the replacement before you install it.
